Abstract

The continuously deepening insight into the electrogenesis of brain activity, the increasing improvement of computer technology and the real demands of functional assessment of nervous structures by clinicians have established the EEG procedures has higly desiderable in neurology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, clinical psychophysiology and other medical disciplines. This contribution is centered around the recording and analysis of quantified EEG, the extraction and normalization of its variables and the 3D source analysis that allows the visualization of cortical and subcortical brain structures. Application of these techniques in patients with closed head injuries will be provided.
