Name: Stefano Castelli, born in Rome 21/12/1958
Present Occupation: Senior Researcher in ENEA (National agency for new technologies, energy and sustainable economic development).
Career: During his professional life he worked in three different fields.
His first experience was in radioactive waste management, working on the preparation and characterization of a borosilicate glass for the disposal of high-radioactivity wastes in clay formations.
Afterwards he worked on the development of various techniques in order to produce palladium-ceramic composite membranes for hydrogen separation and production maturing a deep experience in the electroless method.
Lastly, since 2008, he deals with REACH Regulation in the context of a contract between ENEA and the Italian Ministry for Economic Development. Since 2011 he is advisor in SEAC. In the last six years he has participated in many initiatives and publications for the diffusion of the knowledge of the REACH Regulation.
