Daniela Uccelletti graduated in Biological Science in 1995 and obtained her PhD in Cellular and Developmental Biology at Sapienza University in 1999.

After postdoctoral training at the Boston University, USA she moved to Sapienza University as Post-Doc fellow from 2005 to 2008. She had been an Assistant Professor from 2008 to 2012; currently, she is Associate Professor in Chemistry and Biotechnology of Fermentations at the Biology and Biotechnology Dept. at Sapienza University. Her laboratory is using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model system for understanding how animals respond to different biotic and abiotic stresses.
