She received her PhD in Physics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in november 2013. Currently she is a post doctoral researcher at the NeMO – New Material For Optoelectronics research group at the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Her research is dedicated to the study and optical characterization of quantum dots for application in chemical sensors and lab-on-chips, to the development of light management strategies using nanostructures and to the study of light amplification and laser emission in colloidal photonic crystals doped with organic chromophores. Since 2012 she authored 16 papers in refereed journals. She has been involved in industrial research projects with RSE S.p.A. and Casram railway S.p.A.
