The use of nanoparticles continues to grow rapidly in many different applications. Nanoparticles induce excellent properties, but size is clearly a key parameter when considering a nanomaterial as it directly influences the quality and characteristics of the product, uptake, stability and aggregation. It is thus imperative to use characterization technologies that accurately measure the number based concentration of nano-objects and more importantly the concentration of nano-objects in a complex media.

This presentation outlines the principles of Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) and examples of its use to characterize nanoparticles in a complex media.
