Alberto GIACOMELLO
Alberto GIACOMELLO
(Sapienza Università di Roma)
Alberto Giacomello obtained a Batchelor in Mechanical Engineering in 2008 from Sapienza University and in 2010 a double Master degree in the same subject from Sapienza and the Polytechnic Institute of New York University. He later joined the PhD program in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at Sapienza completing it in 2014.
He joined the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems of Stuttgart, Germany in 2013 and since July 2014 he is Researcher at Sapienza. His research interests are in fluid and interfacial problems at the micro- and nano-scale. Research topics include: wetting, rare events, nucleation, superhydrophobicity, contact angle hysteresis, nanofluidics, microfluidics, and energy harvesting.
