Barbara ADINOLFI

Barbara Adinolfi received the master degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 2000 and the degree in Control and Quality of the Drug in 2005, both from the University of Pisa. She received the PhD in Pharmacotoxicological, Pharmacognostical Sciences and Pharmacological Biotechnologies in 2005 from the University of Milan and the Specialization in Pharmacology in 2008 from the University of Pisa. She has worked from 2000 until July 2013 at the Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Pisa. She also spent one year (2009-2010) in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, as postdoc. From September 2013, she works at the Institute of Applied Physics (IFAC-CNR) in Florence. Her research activity is focused on the evaluation of the expression levels of mRNAs encoding for proteins considered putative prognostic markers in cancer and on the activity of nanoparticles as intracellular carriers for oligonucleotide optical switches as theranostic agents in cancer cells.
